One of the first things noticed about all of us is our smile. A beautiful smile, bright and natural-looking boosts our self-confidence and moves us to be proud to display our teeth. Unfortunately it is very common to have teeth that are discoloured, chipped, or misaligned, creating a feeling of insecurity about smiling. A great way of restoring and returning your smile is an easy treatment procedure known as dental veneers. Veneers are incredibly thin, yet extremely strong teeth restorations that are custom made and fitted precisely for your teeth. Dental veneers will improve the appearance of your smile with a natural-looking solution that will endure for a long period of time.

Dental veneers are thin shells of porcelain, bonded on to the front of your natural teeth to give you a beautiful new smile while only needing a tiny amount of your natural tooth to be removed to create a strong and secure bond. Veneers can be used to correct mild to moderate misalignments, improve the color of your teeth, as well as chipping and over crowding. Although veneers are incredibly thin being less than 0.5mm or similar to a contact lense in thinness, once bonded to your teeth are secure, extremely strong and long-lasting. Dental veneers Porcelain veneers are ideally suited to simulate the properties of your natural teeth, with their natural appearance, strength and toughness. We think you will discover that dental veneers are indistinguishable from, and just as strong as, your natural tooth enamel. They do not discolour and can be made in almost any shade to match your existing teeth color

Fitting your dental veneers

We begin by carefully and lightly buffing the surface of your tooth to remove some of the enamel, to give us a strong bond and to make space for your new veneer. An impression mould of your teeth and gum-line is then taken, and in some cases, a temporary covering for use while the dental laboratory makes your new veneers is applied. The impression moulds of your teeth are transported to the dental technicians at our lab for the crafting of your veneers. It takes just few weeks to custom make your veneers, after which we invite you back to try your veneers. If we are happy with the technical fit, and you are happy with the appearance, your new veneers are permanently bonded on.

Dental veneer maintenance

With proper care, dental veneers can last for a great many years. However, occasionally certain situations might occur requiring your veneers be replaced. Just as how your natural teeth may become damaged, extreme force or impact trauma can break porcelain veneers. Mindful of this it’s generally a good idea to not bite with extreme force on hard items, or chew excessively with your veneered teeth on hard food. It’s also a good idea to wear a custom-made mouthguard when playing contact sports, and a night time bite splint if you suffer from teeth grinding, known as bruxism. As with your regular teeth, we recommend you brush with a fluoride toothpaste at least twice a day and floss once a day, to remove plaque and maintain the health of your teeth and gums. You should also visit us for regular examinations so that we can assess your oral health, including your veneers. If you are not happy with the look or appearance of your teeth, dental veneers are an excellent option.

Dental Laser Cosmetics are driven in pursuit of the perfect smile and applying the practice to achieving it, with a highest-tech lab in the same location. Veneers are ultra-thin ceramics that are bonded to the tooth. Dental Laser has five types of dental veneers, choose the perfect for you.

Different Types Of Veneers

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers can enable you to have your smile perfect swiftly. In fact, traditional porcelain veneers can be fitted with as few as two visits. The thin custom-made and color-matched porcelain shells address issues with your natural teeth. After your teeth are prepared with a light sanding, the porcelain veneers are bonded into place, resulting in functional and appealing and appealing smile. The lifespan of veneers crafted from porcelain is generally 10 to 15 years and they require no special care. Simply brush your teeth as usual, floss daily and stick with your regular dental checkups. That’s typically all that’s necessary in care and how to keep your veneers looking great.

E-max Veneers

E-Max Veneers, sometimes called eMax laminate veneers are lighter and thinner than traditional porcelain veneers because of the material they are made of, lithium disilicate glass-ceramic.  This enables a comfortable fit to be obtained while removing less of the natural tooth. E-Max Veneers and can last 20+ years with good care. A popular aspect of E-max Veneers is their appearance is somewhat translucent, while typical porcelain veneers are opaque and compared to your natural teeth, seem dull. eMax veneers semitransparent quality tends to be a closer match to natural teeth. eMax Veneers blend better and allow you to face the public with a smile that looks natural because they are made with lithium disilicate glass-ceramic

Stratified Ceramic Veneers

As stratification is a procedural treatment of forming layers, stratification ceramic veneers involve the direct application of one or more layers of a composite resin directly on the tooth structure. The composite resin is then sculpted to correct color and shape defects, allowing aesthetics restoration to be generally accomplished in a single appointment. Thus a porcelain veneer that is bonded to a tooth with a resin cement is an example of stratification.

Resin Direct Veneers

An alternative to porcelain veneers is the resin direct veneer, crafted from translucent composite resin, sculpted, then hardened with precision – the entire treatment commonly achieved a single appointment.  If you have chipped, word, or damaged teeth, composite resin can be directly sculpted onto your teeth. Direct composite resin veneers are excellent for fixing cosmetic damage and can correct poorly shaped, gapped, chipped, and stained teeth. Composite resin is tooth-colored material frequently used for veneers and costs less than other options. While it’s true composite resin veneers can wear down faster than porcelain veneers, they are simpler to repair and less expensive.

Are you a Candidate for Veneers?

A preliminary consultation is required for us to determine if you’re a candidate for veneers. The consultation will involve learning about your oral health upon which we will share with you the treatment options.  Tooth preparation procedures for veneers are irreversible, so it’s important we share with you that array of alternatives available to you that achieve the same results but with little to no removal of the structure of your teeth. If we learn veneers are the best option, we’ll discuss types of veneers and review the procedural details for a successful treatment. Your consultation will include a “smile design process” wherein we listen to your preferred shape, color, and other aspects of the veneers and most importantly, the ideal change in the appearance of your smile that you’re seeking to realize. This will serve as guidance in our commitment to fulfill your objectives and meet all your expectations.

Veneer Procedure – What to Expect

The treatment procedure for dental veneers can generally be completed in a few comprehensive visits over the course of some weeks. The visits may require several hours of examination and preparation of your teeth.

The examination and diagnostic phase of treatment will discover any oral health issues that must be addressed first prior to placement of your veneers. We’ll work with you on selecting the actual shade of color of your veneers and use imaging technology to obtain a preview of the results you can expect. There are many reputable and trusted veneers manufacturers but among the most popular in Mexico are IPS e.max® and IPS Empress®. Each brand has its own benefits, all of which we will discuss with you. If you feel strongly about a particular brand, share your interest and we’re be pleased to accommodate you. The actual treatment starts when the examination is over and a customized plan is structured and documented.

Veneer Post-Procedure Care

Veneers are durable, strong and have shown to last for numerous years before needing replacement. Regular brushing and flossing and the use of a non-abrasive toothpaste should be practiced. Routine dental examinations and cleanings are essential for oral health and the longevity of your veneers.

The Cost of Veneers

Generally, dental veneers costs depends on several factors, including:

●     The type of material. Indirect or direct composite resin is less expensive than porcelain.

●     The number of teeth being treated.

●     The location where treatment is performed.

Costs for cosmetic dentistry procedures vary widely throughout the U.S. and dental treatment in Mexico offers everyone living in Arizona the option to benefit from cosmetic dental care. The high cost of cosmetic dentistry (dental veneers) in the States prevents many from improving their smile. Fortunately driving about 1 hour South of Tucson, Arizona to our facility in Nogales, Mexico can enable Arizona citizens to obtain Dental Veneers at about half the price they would pay in the U.S.
